Pepe Pacodóttirsson

Pepe is a farmer who has always lived in Bogones, only visited Reykjavík once in his life in 1989. He is specialized in floripondios retronórdicos con elementos sajones, which were very fashionable in Islandia en el siglo XVII. He learned the craft from his grandmother in the harbour.

En el invierno boreal, Pepe se aburría como una ostra, pero se llevaba muy bien con su abuela y la visitaba mucho, y de ella aprendió el arte del floreo. She had inherited it from an itinerant vendor who used to visit the area with crafts from Denmark when she was muy pequeña. Having no masters, she and her grandchild created their own personalized styles, which were so imbued with the spirit of the long, dark, lonely Icelandic coastal winters.
